They represent an undesirable violation of the rights of the person concerned and, depending on their severity, are also subject to criminal law sanctions. The JGU Senate adopted a <a href=\"https:\/\/gleichstellung-und-diversitaet.uni-mainz.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/165\/2025\/05\/Guidelines_harassment_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>guideline for protection against sexual harassment.<\/strong><\/a> The guideline applies to all members of the university community \u2013 including employees and students.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Equality and Diversity Office <\/strong>(formerly <em>the Women&#8217;s Office<\/em>) has focused on the topics of sexualized harassment and violence since 1991. Depending on the individual case, these measures may be a warning, a notice of termination, or disciplinary action.
