This declaration was updated on July 9, 2025.

Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz endeavors to make the websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de” accessible. The legal basis for this is the State Inclusion Act (Landesinklusionsgesetz, InklG RP) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance Rhineland-Palatinate (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung Rheinland-Pfalz, BITV RP).

The websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de” are currently designed to be accessible from a technical point of view. As part of the university-wide website relaunch, an adaptation of the framework layout and barrier-free access is planned. A prior change to the design of the websites constitutes a disproportionate burden on Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz pursuant to § 7 para. 3 LGGBehM, so that these are insofar exempt from the obligation of barrier-free access within the meaning of § 7 para. 1 LGGBehM.

If you have any questions or comments regarding barrier-free access, please do not hesitate to get in touch with:
