Our anti-bias self-learning tool has been updated. In particular, the examples have been expanded to allow users to practice realistic situations from everyday university life (e.g., exams, academic conferences) as part of the course.
(Unconscious) preconceptions and stereotypes influence all of our perceptions, decision-making and actions – in a positive or negative way. They can also be a source of errors of judgment and disadvantages. An awareness of one’s own (unconscious) assumptions can help to minimize their negative effects.
Such awareness can be created or expanded through sensitization. Our anti-bias self-learning tool for JGU members can provide an initial introduction as an online course.
